Check this out...
There maybe a problem with an unsigned or unregistered dll via 3rd party.
David, I went ahead and marked your link as the solution, since it is being missed as the definitive resource to narrowing down this error. Good job, man.
It's not always Adobe, sometimes it is nVidia, for example. So the tool you show in your thread is the best way to determine that.
Travis,
Are the proper steps to uninstall the offending program, like Adobe, and also uninstall AutoCAD, or just uninstall offending program and re-launch AutoCAD?
I think you can just uninstall the offending program, ensure AutoCAD works (worst case a repair should suffice) and then reinstall the offending program.
I have the same problem except that I had acrobat 11 reader installed which i uninstalled. This did not fix the problem. I still get the same error. Should i uninstall autocad & reinstall?
Hi,

Did you follow the link shown in message 19 by David LAU?

Hi.
Had the same problem on Window 7 PC (but curiously not on my Windows 8.1 Laptop). David's solution using Autoruns software (freeware) solved the problem. Used Autoruns to locate the problem DLL file (on Applnit tab - related to Acrobat 9), renamed the first DLL file on the list and hey presto, AutoCAD now works, and I can still use Acrobat 9.
Nice one David! Been wrestling with this for almost a week now. Cheers!
what name should I put that file and what name should I put that file and could climb a step by stepclimb a step by step
Ok - I am also having the same issue. But, I am not receiving any direct message. The first time on after Windows startup, I get the Windows prompt "AutoCAD has stopped working" and no option but to close the program. However, this prompt comes up as the first run windows start to pop up - almost like Windows is forcing a stop too quickly.
I first found that in my Processes Tab of Task Manager - AutoCAD has completed stopped consuing more memory (Around 62K). This happens when the AcSettingSync.exe process begins to Run (Description is AutoCAD component).
I posted the problem elsewhere and was redirected to this forum. I used AutoRuns, checked the AppInit - and no line items displayed (the Status bar displaed "Ready" - so I know it was completed reading the system).
Based on other user's problems, I uninstalled Adobe Reader XI, rebooted my machine, and the same thing still happens.
I am want to avoid updating my graphics driver because the last time I did, I got the BSoD and had to roll back my driver to what I currently have on.
I would definitely not want to reformat my hard drive either - for the above reason.
What should I check next?
guys just go to C:\Windows\System32 then search acaptuser64.dll this dll file just copy on your desktop then rename the file remove .dll thats all
no need to uninstall any thing just use this simple method once your autocad run one time copy this file to the directery.
I instlled CAD 2015 on desktop. When I have hatch on my screen, it shows so many lines which are not in my drawings. I attached print screen from my drawings.
Thanks
