ps. I had AutoCAD 2010 on my Windows 8, it was working fine, then upgraded the OS to Windows 8.1, then AutoCAD 2010 showd the same error. Now, the same problem persists with AutoCAD 2014 fresh install.
Hi Abhishek,
Sorry to hear that you're having problems installing AutoCAD 2014 on Windows 8.1.
This issue may result on some incompatibility issue with your hardware configuration, please make sure your computer meets the requirements "Find Recommended Hardware".
Can you please try to start the application under "Diagnostic Mode"?
Go into Msconfig
Start/Run.Type in Msconfig.Under the general tab selects "Diagnostic Startup".
If it works under diagnostic mode, try to localize which "service" may prevent the application from running properly.
Note that ACAD 2014 is not officially supported on Windows 8.1 "System requirements for AutoCAD 2014", as we do "not recommend" to upgrade your OS before having the corresponding product officially supported.
However you can expect the next service pack to make the compatibility with Windows 8.1 work.
