    AutoCAD 2013 won't start on XP 32

    Hi all,

    i've installed AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 on 2 machines with German Windows XP 32 bit.

    There are all security patches installed (including the optional ones) and I also have the latest NVIDIA display drivers. .NET 4 is also installed and seems to work..

     

    Installation and licensing worked fine, Fusion 2013 works also.

     

    But AutoCAD 2013 won't start (regardless if plain AutoCAD or Mechanical).

    Somewhere at the time where the welcome screen is displayed i get a endless chain of error messages (have to kill acad.exe with the task manager).

     

    One of the error dialogs offers some information:

    Parts of the informatiuon is in German, but the general complaint seems to be about AmMgdInterop.dll.

    Are there any issues known about this DLL or has anyone else seen similar errors?

    I have the exact same error when Mechanical is launched.  I have Autodesk Product design suite 2013. Autocad Mechanical is the only application that gives the error. All other applications in the suite launch and work fine. This is a fresh install, first time AutoCad on this machine.

    XP, 32bit
