I'm new to software management, so take it easy on me.
I've been tasked with transfering our 2010 32bit AutoCAD networ license onto all new laptops which are running Windows 7 64bit. The license is a network license which we had originally upgraded from the 2008 version.
I'm wondeirng what the best approach to completing this task would be? I know there are some compatatiblity issues between 7 and AutoCAD.
Any help you all can provide is greatly appreciated. I'll check this every working day to answer questions on specifics if more information is needed to address the transfer.
Tim

Since you have network licenses, there is no limit to the number of workstations that you can install onto. You simply need to pop in your 2010 media and install on your laptops as a network version pointed to your existing license server. The license server will work with both 32-bit and 64-bit, so you shouldn't need to change anything there so long as it is working and your machines can access it. Depending on how many installations you have, you can consider making a network deployment, but it is not required.

your only limited on how many people can actually use the software at the same time
ex: 1 license means 1 person can open and use the software the 2nd person would have to wait untill the 1st returns the license to the pool by closing out of autocad

What if say, we didn't have, or I suspect lost, the 2010 install disk (we still have 2009 and 2008 install disks) how would I go about accessing the 2010 network key that is already on our server?

yes the software is installed and was running fine on the old machines.....which makes me think the network key is somewhere on our server.
