Hi LynnOmLand and welcome to the Autodesk Community!

We were able to locate the file that you're looking for, I've sent it to you in an email as the zip file is too large to attach. However this is a very old file and is no longer supported and therefore we cannot guarantee a successful download, but we are very hopeful! Please let me know how it goes. Thank you!

I use Outlook, but when I double click the file it gives me the option to Save or Open. Are those options not available for you? Which email provider are you using? I double checked my sent email to you and the file is attached.

Hi Jessica,

I spoke to my IT guy, He tells me all .EXE files are blocked by our firewall.

Please send it to my home email as follows.

lynnomland@gmail.com

Thanks again for your patience and help.

Hi Jessica,

This is Unbelievable I still can't get your email.

Can you double check my address, and did it come back to you.

lynnomland@gmail.com

Can you try one last time. If this does not work I will forget about it.

Thanks again for all your help.

No worries, I just sent it again. Perhaps check your spam folder?

Edited: I just received an email back saying that the delivery failed because my email to you presents a potential security issue. Is there anyway you can alter your email security settings?

Hi Jessica,

What has worked in the past here at my job, we change the .exe extension to a .txt extension and email it that way.

When I receive it I change the file back to a .exe again. I can't change the fire wall for my personal email.

Can we try that?

I just sent it again and changed the extension but it's a zip file, not an executable so I'm not sure if this will work but let me know.

Hi jessica,

I am ready to give up!

For some reason your emails are not getting through.

Can you give me the link where this zipfile is located, and maybe I can download it myself.

If this is not possible, I will thank you for your help and I will give up.

Lynn

I'm sorry, Lynn but this file wasn't derived from a link that I'm able to send. It was dug out of the archive.

But there's one more option! I just sent you the zip file via Autodesk 360. This is our free online cloud service that will allow us to share documents. You should have received an email notification. Please let me know how it goes! Fingers crossed! Smiley Happy

Hi Jessica,

The Zipfile showed up!

When I try to install the update it stops and asks for the original AutoCAD 2004 disk.

I do have the original disk that was used to install the software.

When I put in the disk and click OK it will not continue instalation. It says it can not find valid file to continue.

Where on the Original disk can I find the file it is looking for.

Thanks again,

Lynn

Hi Jessica,

The zip file finally came.

WhenI try to install the patch it stops and asks for the AutoCAD 2004 disk.

I do have the original disk and inserted it in the CD drive and click OK.

It will not continue the instalation because it can not find the file to continue.

Can you tell me what it is looking for and where to point to it.

Thanks again for your help

Hi Lynn,

This appears to be a Microsoft error, could you try this solution from their website to see if it resolves the issue? Thanks!
