AutoCAD 2000i AdLM on a Windows 2000 cluster.

Does anybody knows if it's possible to install the AdLM and the network
version of AutoCAD 2000i on 2 servers clustered with Windows 2000 ?

Initially I'd say that it's unsupported. I'm not an expert on MSCS but my understanding
is that you have a shared raid 5 array between the two "cluster machines" and each cluster
has it's own mb, processor, and nic. Since the nic's would either be "shared" between the
mscs or could be switched in the case of a failover I don't think that the adlm would be
able to lock to 1 nic like it wants to.

This isn't an official answer, as I've never tried it, just my best guess.

Good answer, Jason.
We have not done any testing with AdLM server running on a cluster
configuration but my guess is that it would be a problem.

As far as installing AutoCAD itself on the cluster, it should work fine so
long as you can reach the share with a consistent UNC path
(\\servername\sharename).

By the way, Pierpaolo, your English is just fine!
