AutoCAD 2000 - Windows 2000

I have 26 networked users of AutoCAD 2000. Most machines are running Win NT. A few months ago we bought about 10 machines with Windows 2000. They worked fine for a while, but now AutoCAD 2000 will not start up. I have SP2 for Win 2000 and SP2 for AutoCAD 2000, all users are set up as "power users". I have uninstalled and reinstalled AutoCAD and have 6 open licenses on the server. About half of the WIN 2000 machines are working, the other half do not. HELP!

We need more information. Are you getting an error
message? Is it firing up then failing? Are you using Icontools?

Hi,

Be sure that you updated the adesksys.dll from the
W2000 computers where AutoCAD is not working:

The article you reference referes specifically to
Acad 14.1 and 2000.  Does anyone know if the same issue applies to
Acad2002?

It should not apply to 2k2. 2k2 should simply work with w2k. No file replacement
required.
