Hello Autocad users,
Has anybody had any experience of 2004 installation onto windows operating systems. My new laptop doesn't like the windows 7 platform. Is it possible to combine the 2 ?
Hi,
2004 requirements is XP.
If you use Windows 7 Pro you can use XP mode to use AutoCAD 2004.
Best regards.
I am running ADT 2004 on a Windows 8 operating system.
I have run it on Windows 7 Pro and Windows 7 ultimate and also Vista.
I know that AutoDesk doesn't want to hear that but I do not have a business that can support upgrades every couple of years. Even my more affluent competitors cannot.
The most troublesome is the .dll's that do not copy or (?). If acad is running on one of your other computers you can find the files to copy over.
There are some glitches but most are not that much of a problem. In all of my instllations over these years exiting the program does send a message to Autodesk.
I always let it send.
