Arch Desk using Acad14 license

I had 22 Acad 14 licenses installed on a Novell NetWare 5 network and now
have upgraded 1 license to Architectural desktop. I obtained new server
codes and I am no showing 1 141 license for Arch Desk and still have 22
licenses shown for 140 - Acad14. However, the Arch Desktop installation is
aquiring and Acad14 license instead of the Arch Desk license. This
somewhat defeats the purpose of the 1 arch desk network license if anyone
that can access Acad14 can run Arch Desk.

Any ideas why the wrong license type is being picked up?

David,

ADT requires two "tokens" a 140 for the base AutoCAD feature and a 141 for ADT
specific functionality. The 141 token will not be pulled until an ADT specific
command is used.

When you received your authorization codes, you should have gotten two, one
should create the 141.lic file and the other should update the 140.lic with a
license count equal to your AutoCAD plus ADT counts. Note that AdLM Admin must
be run for each authorization code you receive and that on Novell, you must
stop the AdLM prior to updating the files.

This is the procedure that I followed and ADLM Query is showing 22 140
licenses and 1 141 license on the server, but when starting ADT, the 1 141
license is still available and 1 140 license has been taken instead.

David,

ADT will ALWAYS use a 140 token. It will also use a 141 only when an ADT
specific command is used. If in fact you own 22 AutoCADs and 1 ADT then your
140 seat count should be 23. Stop AdLM and reenter your auth codes again and
see what AdLM Admin says you have.

Thanks Jerry. I had not tried to invoke any ADT commands before since I am
not an Architect and did not realize that it would also use a 140 license.
The ADT license was an upgrade to one of my Acad14 licenses, so I believe
that the 22 140 licenses and 1 ADT license is still correct.
