ArcGIS & AutoCAD

Can ArcGIS Licens Server Administrator and LMTools be setup on the same server, if so how?  We need both in order to run Civil 3D 2013 and ArcGIS.

ArcGIS License Server 10.0

LMTools 11.1

Does ArcGIS also use Flexnet license manager?  If so, then you should be able to combine the license managers per my combining license files link.  There are a couple of different ways to do it.  But I combine Autodesk with Solidworks, MathCAD, Pro/E, VMWare, so on and so forth, all the time.

For the best method to properly combine your license files, please read my entire thread here and choose the method that best fits your needs:

For best results, respond with any follow-ups here and not in my KB thread. Thanks!

A note about licensing ArcGIS and Autodesk products is noted here:

The summary of the post is that you need to install the 32 bit NLM (Autodesk) in order for it to work correctly.

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for all the post.  I was able to resolve the issue as follows:

Installed ArcGIS License Server Administrator 10.0

Modified the service.txt file adding a port to the line VENDOR ARCGIS PORT=XXXXXX

Created exceptions for ports 27001-27009, and programs FLEXnet and lmgrd for inbound on the server.

Obtained the licenses from ESRI

Created exceptions for the same on the client pc

Connected to the server via ArcGIS on the client

Installed ArcGIS on the client

Have this working on one client so hopefully the others work ok too.
