    Alternative licensing software

    Hello,

I realize this may not be the appropriate forum for this question but I was
unsure where else to turn. We are wanting to distribute licenses for
AutoCad 2000 over a large wan. You informed me in past responses that ADLM
is not the optimal solution for this scenario. We are currently
investigating a number of license controlling and metering software packages
for numerous other apps. Are you aware of any legal license problems with
utilizing another package for licensing control? If this doesn't belong in
this forum, could you please give me a contact of someone who may know?
    Thanks for your help.

    Patrick,

AdLM issues licenses over a reasonably performing and properly configured WAN
just fine. From a support standpoint, I urge you to consider AdLM. Using third
party metering software puts you in a "you are on your own" condition.

There are legal/license issues as well. You should ask your dealer to contact
Autodesk on your behalf regarding the legal aspects of this issue.
