AdminImage Question

When a new image is created using NIW and a .msp is applied then will the files from the .msp be copied into the image. Or does the MSI created have a call to apply the .msp at install time, effectively doing the same thing as "msiexec /i A:Example.msi PATCH=msipatch.msp /qb" Thanks John

Hi John, If you patch your admin image at creation time or after creating it will update that image. So if you have Deployments that are already on systems, patch them before you update your admin image. Otherwise MSI will prompt you for the source since it has changed. You can also just copy the CD image to the server and point to it to patch, but it would be simpler just to patch the existing stations or remove then and reinstall after you have updated your admin image. Hope this helps. Bud Schroeder AutoCAD Test Development Autodesk Inc.
