AdLM and Laptops

Laptop users seem like prime candidates for using the AdLM because they
typically don't use cad too much. Is there anyway to use the AdLM for a
laptop in the office and still have them use cad on the road? Has anyone
figured out a way to get around the laptop problem?

You can do it over a dial in (but you have to be connected the whole time you are using
autocad), and I'd think that it would be possible over a vpn connection, but I've not
tried it. You might need to play some tricks with dns and routing, but it should be
possible.

So far we've just be buying stand alone licenses for our laptop people.

For our laptop users we load the network version and also give them a copy
of LT for when they are away from the network. Hope this helps.

Later,
John.
