Hi,
I have been trying to activate the copy of Maya 2010 I downloaded from the Autodesk Education Community, (http://students.autodesk.com), but the activation process tells me that the product is not eligible for use outside of the United States. I have attempted to go through the Asia Pacific Autodesk Authorization Centre, (ap.register@autodesk.com), but was told that I would need to contact studentcommunity@autodeskcommunications.com for further assitance with educational products. I then recieved an automated email from autodesk.education.community@autodesk.com informing me that I would need to ask my question here. 🙂
Is there any way I can obtain an activation code from within Australia for the product?
Thanks,
Andy Finlayson
I have noticed on my account ID for the student community that after my educational facility, (Animation Mentor) it says "United States of America" when other Animation Mentor students do not. Could this be why the copy of Maya 2010 I downloaded is a U.S. version rather than one I can activate in Australia?
Please send an email with your student account information and the circumstances of your problem to studentcommunity@autodesk.com. The team that monitors it will be able to assist you.
Hi Douglas,
I have just sent an email to studentcommunity@autodesk, again, but recieved the same automated reply telling me that unless my question was about registration I would have to post the query in the support centre of the educational community, which I have done twice already. So far the responces I have recieved are that they have forwarded the query to someone who should be able to help me but I have not heard from anyone on the matter after several days.
I'm not really sure how to proceed from here, but thanks for the reply.
