Activation crashes Inventor 2008 Win7

Hello,

I am trying to activate Inventor 2008 Professional running on Windows 7 SP1 but it crashes with the following error report (sorry for German Windows version...):

The 30-day trial version starts without any problems. Trying to activate via the "help" menu in the trial version also fails, but without an error message.

I also tried to run Inventor in XP and Vista compatibility mode but got the same error.

Someone knows how to fix this?

Autodesk 2008 products are not supported on Windows 7.  The activation does not work properly.  You *might* be able to get it to work, but there are no supported methods.  You can try to search for solutions though.  Good Luck!
