Activating 3Ds Max

I am attempting to activate my copy of 3ds Max 2011

The first of two problems is that the product key I have been given isn't being accepted. The message "the product key you have entered is not valid verify and re-enter it" appears.

The second problem is that I don't have an activation code as there wasn't any available at the time of download.

Would appreciate some help regarding this matter.

Have requested for the serial number on the site ? Activation key is required after you have installed the product. most cases it should happen automatically if you have the right serial Number.

I have a serial number. When I try to activate the product I give the serial number and product key but it says that the product key does not match the serial number and won't let me progress any further.

Where did you get the product key from ?

i will request someone internally to have a look at your profile, is this same id you use for student community ?

I got the product key from autodesk its on 'my  software' page.

iv downloaded 3ds max and after it down loaded i did not recive a product nor a serial number or activation code

Do you have an issue when you try to activate 3ds Max? Did you get the serial number and product key from the Student Community?
