Acad 2000 Slow after removing PC from Network

We recently upgraded my PC. Everything with AutoCAD was working fine on the
rest of the network. But then the Systems Group removed my old PC from the
network. AutoCAD's Dialog boxes immediately screeched to a crawl.

My old PC was new at about the time that Autodesk released the first ADLM.
I remember trying to install it on the PC but got an error message because I
wasn't logged on as an administrator.

Gave ADLM to the Systems Group to place on the Application server. btw we
are running NT4.0 SP4.

Everything was fine, the license manager recognized and recorded all
instances of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT starting stoping. We even got a few
messages indicating that the server was down.

If my old PC is on-line, AutoCAD runs fine. If off-line, All Dialog boxes
are very slow. I mean VERY VERY slow.

No error messages.

Then when the PC is back on the net, it's fine.

Stop the license manager on the Applications server and AutoCAD will not
start, indicating the the License manager is operating correctly.

Anybody have experience with this problem?
