ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE continued

Hi,

I'm still trying to diangose why one customer is having problems getting
licenses from the 2nd server set in the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE environment
variable if the 1st server is used up...

I did some tesing and found that the registrykey ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE (the
same value that is shown in AutoCAD Options, License server doesn't really
reflect anything...

Scenario:

2 licenseservers, caled SRV1 and SRV2. SRV1 is the one selected when the
deployment was built.

With no environment variable set, the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE value is
C:\Program files\AutoCAD 2002

Set the Environmentvalue to @SRV1;@SRV2, the registry is changed to
@SRV1;C:\Program files\AutoCAD 2002. Even though the license is grabbed from
SRV2 (SRV1 has no licenses ACAD2002)!!!

My question really is, does AutoCAD use the registryentry for anything and
why doesn't it show the actual server that is dispensing the licenses?

??? ADSKFLEX/LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable, registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager\ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE,
LICPATH.LIC file????

Help!!!

The customer can ping both servers, if the licpath.lic file is edited, she
can get licenses from either server but if the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE
variable is set SRV1, SRV2 and SRV1 is out of licenses, her MAP 5 won't go
to SRV2 to get a license.... Strange huh?

/Petri
