Can anyone please explain to me why the ADLM server code would change after
a reboot?

One of the variables in a server code comes from the network card (I think
it's pulling it fromt he MAC address, not the ip address, although it may
get variables from both). THere is at least one other variable that is a
network aspect, since hte same machine, booted and logged ontto itself and
not the domian will have a different server code.
Anyway, since the network card itself is the source of at least one
variable, if you are running ADLM on a multihomed machine, you will get very
erratic behaviour.

The machine that the ADLM is on a BDC in an NT network, SP5, with one NIC,
and a static IP address.

I have had the server code when the ADLM server had to change machine name,
IP, DNS, new MAC address, etc. It is my opinion that the server code is
TIED to too many things. I would like to see AutoDesk change the way their
license manager is running. Also if you can AutoDesk they will give you a
new code on the spot. So I make sure that IF I have to do something on that
server I do it while AutoDesk is open.
