    ACCESS VIOLATION READING OX0134

Just installed a brand new copy of Auto-cad 2012LT on 64bit windows 7 and when starting up the applications I see the following erroer message (it flashes up twice)

UNHANDLED EXCEPTION C0000005 (ACCESS VIOLATION READING OX0134) AT ADDRESS 5ADOAA4Fh

After hitting ok the software finishes opening and I can use the tool in the menu except for file. When I try to open a file the software freezes/crashes and doesn't recover. If I try to click on the screen I get an audible alert but I can't select anything (as if a command window is open and waiting for a particular response)

has anyone else seen this issue?

    Thanks

    Martin

Was your virus protection turned off when you installed?

This looks like ether corrupted install, inadequate graphics card (or video driver) or corrupted .NET framework issue.

First please check your video card against Autodesk Certified Graphics Hardware lit, the link is below.

    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/cert?siteID=123112&id=16391880

To reinstall ACAD LT 2012 follow steps below:

1.from Windows Add or Remove programs uninstall ACAD LT 2012

    2.delete or rename following folders:

    ‘C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 – English`

    ‘C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 – English’

    ‘C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 – English’

    ‘C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 – English’

3.export and then delete following registry keys

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT\R17\ACADLT-A001:409

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT\R17\ACADLT-A001:409

    4.reboot the computer

5.logon with local system admin account

6.empty TEMP folder (to open TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in Windows Explorer and hit Enter key)

    7.disable your antivirus app

    8.start installing ACAD LT 2012

Thank you for your reply. My apologies for the delayed responce but I was travelling. I have been asked about my graphics card befor but there is little I can do as I am using a laptop. To be exact its a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1LR. This uses an Intel(R) HD Graphics adaptor. Is this adrequet and if not what can i do to run ACADLT 2012?
