ACADSERVER variable

I'm new to networking AutoCAD, what does this phrase on the Adlm.log mean:

Warning: Unable to obtain HostID #1 (EITHER+HISECURE) or "cad":smileyfrustrated:ystem
error.

Does this have something to do with the ACADSERVER variable not defined on
the
clients?

thanks,

Ritchie

Richard,

The simple explanation of that message is that your network adapter is a bit
sluggish in initializing. What AdLM does during startup is check status of
the adapter and will retry in a minute if the adapter is not ready. When
that happens, AdLM writes the above message to the log file. So, this error
does not indicate a fatal condition for AdLM. Some people have been able to
make this condition go away by updating their network adapter driver. This
is a good idea because while AdLM may be smart enough to deal with the
situation, other software may have a problem with the condition.
