We are running AutoCAD 2000 with a network installation using the AutoCAD
license manager to control access. I have 4 machines running Windows 98 that
can access AutoCAD just fine. I setup a new machine running Windows 2000
Professional and installed AutoCAD. I got the fatal error message that is
mentioned in the support pages of this website. I downloaded the file and
put it in and it worked fine for a couple of days. Now when you run AutoCAD
it goes to the splash screen and just leaves the splash screen up (no hard
drive activity and an hourglass when you hold the cursor over the splash
screen). If you go in and look at what is running, acad.exe is in the list.
Ending task removes the splash screen. Have closed programs running in the
background with no luck in getting past the splash screen. Any ideas?
