A2KI, Service pack 2 failure

I have a Win NT network with A2Ki installed for network deployment
(executables stay on the server). Everything was working fine until I
installed service pack 2, after which, A2KI wouldn't run from a the server,
or any of the client machines.

Also, it appears that the readme file,
has some misleading information. Under "Live Update Network Deployment
Instructions (AutoCAD 2000i only) ":

"On network-deployed AutoCAD installations, there are no Live Update
notifications on the AutoDesk Point A portion of the Today window. As a
result, you must download updates from the Point A site using an Internet
browser and then manually apply them at each workstation. "

And, two paragraphs later:

"During the installation of an update, you are prompted for the original
installation CD or network image. Make sure that each computer is connected
to the network location where the install image resides. After you have
applied an update to the network image, you need to apply an update to each
newly created client you set up. "

This apparently only applies to CLIENT deployment, not a NETWORK deployment.
I did not make the distinction and had to un-install A2KI from the client

I have now, un/re-installed A2Ki on the server - it now runs from the
server. I uninstalled A2Ki on the client and reinstalled from the server -
it now runs as well. I'm afraid to reinstall the service pack on the
server...I think I'll wait until I have a backup of the server:-(
