A Valid License Could not be obtained error -15.570.10035

Good Day All

Not sure whats happening with my license server, or with LMTOOLS, but I cannot get a license for any of my software except for vault for manufacturing? All my licenses are up and running and I can see them in the license status. The only licenses that are actually geting used are the Vault for manufacturing licenses. For all other software, i.e Inventor, Navisworks, P&ID, I get: "A Valid License Could not be obtained from the license manager" With "' If you are still unable to access a license, contact your system administrator error[-15.570.10035]" . Have uninstalled, and reinstalled LMTOOLS, have requested a new licnese file, all with the same results. Any suggestions?

-15 Means that you cannot connect to the NLM. Have you configured it and is it running as a service? Are you running more than one NLM on your network? You might try pinging the servername and ensuring that you get a response and that it is returning the correct IP from the ping.

Everything is configured correctly. I got the software working by specifing the license file rather then the server running the service. This is happening on the entire network. Once the software sees the licnese it runs without an issue?

Technically you should be running as a service. That is how it is supposed to work for multiple clients. And that is why you get a -15. Because it can't...

Hey, can u pls tell me how I can check the expiry date of my licence, because I'm using NWL and alll of the sudden I'm receiving the above mentioned error. I even pinged my server and everything seems to be working fine. Edited by: Spanish_Guitor on Mar 23, 2010 9:15 AM

Hi,
The license parser is a tool allowing you to convert the contents of your Autodesk license file into an easy to read report.
Among other pieces of useful information, the report contains the full name of the licensed product, the serial numbers, the number of seats and the expiration date. http://www.licenseparser.com/
