3dsmax2010 32bit "The license for this product is currently being exported"

I lost my internet connection while the license export utlitiy was exporting. Now every time I launch 3dsmax2010 32bit I get the following error.

Export in Progress: The license for this product is currently being exported. To use this product, import the license back to this computer when the export has completed"

If I try to export the license again it says it has already been exported and indeed it has. I installed 3dsmax on another machine, imported and exported the license from that machine just fine.

It seems to think that I'm currently trying to export the license at the same time I'm launching max, which I.m not. Normally I would just launch max click import license and be on my way... I really need this machine up and running on Monday morning!

Apparently the cascadeinfo.cas file has been corrupted.
Because of that, Max sees the LTU.exe running in export mode and don’t let you import the license.
Please try deleting the file cascadeinfo.cas. The file will be recreated when you run Max again.

The file can be found in these locations:

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm

Windows Vista and Windows 7:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm

Hi Antonio,

I'm on vista 32bit and I found the file in the same path as win7 "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm" removing the "cascadeinfo.cas" file didn't fix the problem so I restored the file just in case. I tried reinstalling 3dsmax but that didn't do any good either. I await further instruction. Edited by: MarkdHerInteractive on Apr 26, 2010 1:19 PM

Hi Mark,

Can you please login within a different account in the system and try importing the license?

Nope, didn't work. Tried removing the file under a different user and it also failed.

Go to the folder C:\ProgramData and rename Flexnet to OldFlexnet.

Now restart max it will now as you to resgister 3ds max.
Pls register 3ds max 2010 again with the new registeration code.

If you have other Autodesk products apart from 3ds max 2010 you will need to Register them too.
