Installation & Licensing

i was installing the 3ds max 2011 but it failed nothing got installed  neither the back burner and not even the visual c++ stuff 

and every time it shows the same thing . i am running windows xp service pack 3 

plzz someone help me

so can i remove the all the versions of visual c++ installed and then run the 3ds max installer ???

will it work and not affect other applications?

Yes you might have some other applications which are dependant VC++ runtime, this is the Microsoft component which shared by many applications.

VC++ runtime would installed when you run the 3ds max installer, if you want you can do this manually too(to fix the error only with VC++ installer)

but i have many of vc++ installed shall i remove all of them? this is the list-

and can u tell why does taht runtime uptade stuff fails to install???
