2010 and previous FlexLM versions

We are running FlexLM 10.8 on our different distributed servers. We have placed Autodesk MAP 2010 licenses in the license file and it is perfectly running. Can anybody tell me why we should update to the version 11.5 that is included in the 2010 software, as Autodesk requires?

We have a various portfolio of Autodesk products likt AutoCAD, Civel, Revit, MAP, Inventor, 3DS....

You probably need it to get everything working and to be eligible of support from Autodesk. But if it works for you and you want to keep 10.8 no one will stop you.

The ADSKFLEX.EXE file has been 10.8 for the last few versions. However, for 2010 it was recently updated to 11.5. I would recommend updating your NLM for 2010 in this instance, simply because of the change in the vendor daemon.
