2005 AND 2006 LICENSE FILE

here is the scenario:
I have a license file for AutocAD 2005 NIW
I obtained a new license file for AutocAD 2006
What should I do if I need to combine within the same amount of seats both AutoCAD 2005 and AutoCAD 2006; knowing that I 'll have 30 seats in 2005 and 40 seats in 2006.
Does the new license file for 2006 allow me to run AutoCAD 2005?
Do I need to combine (I tried didint work) the 2 licenses files knowing that they show both 75 seats?
Any help is granted welcome.

I think you just combine the license files resulting in 75 2006 and 75 2005 and migrate your 2005 install base to 2006.
They used to give you 60 or 90 days to do this but that became problematic.

Just did this myself, worked fine.
When you combine the license files, do not add the entire new license file
to the original, just copy and paste the INCREMENT sections without the
header info above it.

If you have subscription of AutoCAD you can also run both 2005 and 2006 as
long as you don't go above your number of subscribed licenses.
JTB FlexReport can be used to help you with the above.

Jimmy,

do you know where I can find the correct policy for this matter. ("

Re: 2005 AND 2006 LICENSE FILE

long as you don't go above your number of subscribed licenses.")

The Auth. code service is waiting for a green light to send me such files (we just added +5 nodes to our subscription contract)

Thanks,
