2002 and reformat of hard drive to install new OS

I am planning to get windows XP when it comes out. And any other time I have
upgraded my OS I have always reformatted my hard drive and carried out a
clean install as I find that it causes me less problems this way.

I have installed on my computer at the moment, Autocad 2002 student edition
and am wondering how to format my hard drive, put XP on and then re install
2002, my problem being that I don't have two computers with which to
import/export my licence.

Does anyone know of any compatability issues with 2002 and the beta XPs that
would make me want to wait a while before upgrading, thus saving me some
time and effort 🙂 and if I do upgrade will I need to go down on bended
knee and get a new code from Autodesk. What would be the official channel in
europe to get a new code, I had to fax to Switzerland to get my original
code.
