2 network card conflict

We are running ACAD2000 with NT 4.0. We have a couple of users that have 2 network cards on their computer, one for the NT network, and one locally for connecting to local equipment. They get an error "LICENSE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED" when trying to run ACAD, which works for all other users. If the extra network card is removed, ACAD functions correctly. Is there an easy way to swap network card search order to resolve this conflict?

Assuming the two network cards are on different
subnets (!), you can do a route add -p command (using the full syntax) to force
packets headed for the AdLM server to the appropriate nic.  The -p makes it
permanent.
