2 lan ports

I have 2 lan ports(2 network connections) on my new system. I would like
land desktop to use one and the Internet and other connections to use
the other one. Is this possible?

Probably not easily. Anyway, it wouldn't matter in the long run if both cards are going to the same switch or going out on the same pipe. The bottleneck remains the same.
