You might copy the install files to the local hard drive and install from there.  Also might try it as another user with local admin rights.

The install log shows .NET is failing to install, but is ignored (oddly.)  But the installation log specifically for ASD shows a failure due to a .NET problem.

SFXCA: Extracting custom action to temporary directory: C:\Windows\Installer\MSIB867.tmp-\
SFXCA: Failed to get requested CLR info. Error code 0x80131700
SFXCA: Ensure that the proper version of the .NET Framework is installed, or that there is a matching supportedRuntime element in CustomAction.config.
CustomAction SetASDProfile returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

You might need to use the .NET Cleanup Ulitity and then reinstall your .NET Framework fresh using the full redistributable from Microsoft.  Sometimes Windows Update only installs a portion of the framework, often causing weird issues like this.

.NET Framework issues can be resolved using the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool. More information about this tool can be found at my discussion thread here:

Good Luck!
