i can live most of the time with the ui flicker/lag since some low level wddm stuff changed from xp to windows 7/vista.
But as my machine updates itself over the net (windows update) some update totally destroys the usability of 3ds max.
(i have another machine which is offline, where there are no problems)
Switching from vertex to edge mode in editable poly can take from 1 to 5 seconds
i tried everything basic like graphic drivers etc, asked alot of places, so any solution has to be rather low level - anyone has an idea?
Also - are there people out there that had this problems dissapear with windows 8? The wddm model got updated to 1.2 / 1.3
