I'm getting exactly the same thing, using viewport 2.0. Maya 2015 sp5. I'm new to maya, and using it with the Golaem crowd plugin. It aapears after i've worked on a scene for a while. Loading the scene into a new maya the issue is there straight away. If i then do a new scene the issue persists. Has made 2.0 pretty much unusable.
