You must be logged in as Administrator to install Max, and you must run it at least once as Administrator before using it in a normal (limited) user account.

Goto 3rd party folder and install all applications and your problem will be fixed. My problem was fixed by that method.

How do you sign in as an administrator? I can only see student/ faculty/ mentor as options.. Getting so fustrated with this, I literally cannot continue with my course until this gets sorted 😞

Just right-click the installer > Run As Administrator. When you run Max (the first time) right-click the shortcut > Compatibilty tab > Run as administrator. OK it then double-click the shortcut as normal.
