Maya batch render crashes with nVidia OpenGL error on Quadro and Geforce cards (Win7 64)

I've tried running some maya batch renders on two dofferent Win7 machines and got the same error on both. I've updated the Quadro 4000 drivers to the most recent ones and it's still giving me the same problem. Its only been a problem for my maya users this week, and the problem happens on both nvidia quadro / geforce machines. Here's the eventmanager report and a screenshot of the batch error
