3dsmax moddifier crash

So my problem is pretty simple..whenever i click the modifier list with an object selected 3dsmax 2014 instantly crashes.This problem occured recently.the program was factioning normaly with the moddifier list before

I have tried the following:

repairing 3dsmax

reinstalling (these are the options i didnt manualy uninstall it and reinstalled it)

reinstalling my video card drivers

install a 3dsmax service pack 3

This is pretty annoying and i cant edit anything without having it to crash

Plz someone help :C

note: sorry if thats the wrong place to post that

Try renaming your Max 2014 folder(s) under Users - could be a corrupt config file somewhere in there. Max will create a new set of folders with default settings.

If you want a "clean" install you must remove those as part of the uninstallation - it won't happen automatically.

Max 2016 (SP1/EXT1)
Win7Pro x64 (SP1). i5-3570K @ 4.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX11.
nVidia GTX760 (2GB) (Driver 430.86).

No, it's under Local Settings (XP) or AppData (7/8). Might be hidden so make sure you have Explorer set to display hidden Files/Folders.

So i did check in my appdata the only thing i found was an autodesk folder with a 3dsmax folder in it.I renamed..max did make a new one but it didnt solve anything.I also did change the setting in folder options so it shows hiden files but still dint find anything relevant Sorry if iam doing something wrong 3;

note: found a tutorial on how to fix corupted files so it may help..
