how to make a layer with dynamic colors for different polygons in a dwg file

I've a complex problem that I really don't know where to start to solve it.
I have a dwg file with a lot of polygons that I want to use as a layer in my mapguide project but I need to assign a background color for each polygon with base on a database. If I had every object in a redline layer I could make a routine to rebuilt every object, everytime I update the database.
What's the best solution for my problem? Drawing all the polygons manualy in the redline layer is not possible.
