create legend (newbie question)

Hi all,

I want to create my own legend using javascript, so I'd like to know how to create a legend dinamically.

It´s easy to list all the layer names in the map, but.... what about the symbols? I want to display the corresponding symbols as well.

How to do that?

Then either name them the same as the layers, or maintain some kind of lookup table. Jason

I had that in mind, but I thought that maybe there's another way... 😞

Save your layer as XML File.
Here you see the colors in rgb for each item
