It looks like you have not loaded the Sheboygan.mgp sample dataset into your
repository.

The documentation says the Sheboygan.mgp should be put in < C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Packages>
so that it can be uploaded in the Site Admin. Is it supposed to be in the repository again and which sub-folder because we have 4 of them.

Andy meant that you need to place the MGP into the packages directory,
and then use the site admin to load the data into the repository. You
should never need to access the repository directly... unless you are
updating your data through an external (non-Studio/Map) mechanism.

Although... from your screenshot it looks as if the sample has been loaded.

Does this error recur if you log out and then log back in? How about if
you save the layer, close it, and then reopen it? The fact that the
error message references a the session repository leads me to believe
that your session might have timed out. Although Studio appears to use
a longer timeout than the web client, I think that the preview function
uses the shorter web timeout interval.
