MySql and Mapguide

HI.

I have tried both the ODBC and the OLEDB for MySQL and it fails.

ODBC ver 2.40.37 and ver 3.51.06 fails in Mapguide 6.0 and 6.3 (message:
"557... cannot enumerate tables...")
MyOLEDB ver 3 fails in Mapguide 6.0 and 6.3 (gives no message, just hangs so
I have to reboot...)

I have read somewhere that the tables had to be indexed, so I did, with no
result...

Does anyone use MySQL with MapGuide?

I have MySQL 4.0.1 and MyOLEDB 3.0 and MyODBC 3.51.06. Together they
work wonderfully. Using MyODBC and the Microsoft OLE for ODBC driver did
not work correctly.
It almost sounds like the database user your DSN is signs in as does not
have select permissions, but I doubt that would cause MyOLEDB to hang.

I would suggest looking at the options dialog for the MyODBC driver
(where you set your DSN). www.mysql.com has the documentation for all
the options.
Good luck,
Ben

Thanks for the tip. It works now with MyODBC and Microsoft OLE for ODBC
driver. The problem was my fault. The ODBC driver was set up as an user DSN
and not a system DSN. When I moved the driver from user DSN to system DSN it
worked perfect!
