MapGuide + Asp.Net + VS 2005

I want to use MapGuide ActiveX control (MgAxCtrl.dll) in my Asp.net sample project with VS 2005. Is possible to access Mapguide API from C# or Vb.net Server Side?
I tried to add MgAxCtrl.dll as a reference in my asp.net web site but in the toolbox do not appears the control.

Although I have not used 2005/ 2.0 Framework - all ActiveX Controls in 1.1
are not accessible server-side - they are only accessible client-side. I
have to believe this also true for 2.0.
