MGE2008 Oracle ODBC points not selectable

I have a point layer derived from an X and Y field
from an Oracle database.  This is using the Autodesk FDO
3.2 ODBC provider.  These point features are drawn on the map, but are
not selectable to the end user even though they should be.  I have tried
turning off every other layer in the map to make sure there is no selectability
and display order conflicts, but they are still not selectable.

This can happen if no primary key is defined.

Thanks Dave. That was the problem. I didn't have the Key Field selected in
the spatial feature class definition in the data connection. Perhaps Studio
shouldn't let one create a geometry feature class without picking a key
field?

Totally agree, but the the validation is confusing because currently it shows you need to populate and x,y and z value otherwise an error triangle is shown. This logic needs to be smarter both here and in other editors.

I will log a defect.
