MGE 2010 Flex Layouts - Legend Formatting

Hello,

Is there some mechanism by which I can reformat the legend in a flex layout?
The problem I'm running into is with grouping folders. I have a large amount
of imagery that I wish to place into folders rather than on the top level of
the layers in the map in Author. Once a folder is added, it appears as the
first item in the legend.

The easy way out appears to be creation of folders for each type I would
like to manage. Point, Line, Polygon, Raster but that takes up unecessary
room in the legend. Is there a way to work around this issue leaving data at
the top level for ease of users?
