Keeping map configuration...

Hi folks,

I'm a newbie on mapguide and I have a small doubt related to keep map layout ( color and line styles, zoom factor and so on..) when I migrate data from one repository to another. Is Autodesk mapguide Studio able to do this or I need to adjust these configurations manually?

Thanks

All the styling and zoom information is saved as part of the definitions of your maps and layers. If you export from one repository to another, as long as the locations of the resources within folders within the repository tree are the same then everything is as it was before. In other words if you export a package containing a folder of resources and import it, an identical folder and resources are created in the new repository. All the properties of the objects inside the folder are as they were in the old repository since it's part of the XML definition.

Regards,
Dave
