Internal Server Error with Mr. Sid image

Hi,

I have a large Mr. Sid image (1.7 GB) and I get the following error when
trying to display it in Mapguide Author:
"Autodesk Mapguide Server error: 500-12174"
"The server encountered an internal server error. Please contact your system
administrator"

If I try to open it with the Raster Workshop, it crashes.

The image can be viewed with Arcview without any problems.

Any ideas?

Hello Suzanne,

Does the image display in Autodesk Map, Raster Design, or any other Autodesk
product besides MapGuide?

This is probably not an issue seeing that the error is also happening in
Raster Workshop, but you could try increasing the MapGudie Server timeout
parameter. See solution TS66773 http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS66773

And finally can you tell me what version of Autodesk MapGuide you are using
and the version of the Mr.SID file (MG2, MG3, etc.)?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for responding. I was just about to add a follow-up message to say
that the problem has been solved. It was not related to Mapguide at all:
something must have happened during the file transfer because someone ftped
the file again and it works fine.

I found the performance of Mr. Sid's images quite disapointing though. We
have fairly large ecw images (1.4GB) and they are much faster. Perhaps we
are expecting too much; this Mr. Sid image is a 1.7GB file served over the
web after all.
