IMS 2012 install issues

I've just done a fresh install of Infrastructure Map Server 2012 64-bit version 2.3.0.4202 on two different machines that had never had Autodesk products on them before. One is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 6.1.7600. The other has Windows Server 2008 Standard, 6.0.6002. Both have IIS 7.5. We are still awaiting new license numbers, so they are running the 30-day trial. I'm a new Autodesk user but a pretty experienced GIS guy.

The installation seemed fine, and I followed the instructions for configuring the web extensions for IIS 7.x (here, and I incorporated the advice in the comments at the bottom). All of the verifications (here) checked out okay, and I can use the web-based Site Administrator (at http://localhost/mapserver2012/mapadmin/login.php) without problems. I haven't yet made any changes to default settings here.

But in Infrastructure Studio, when I try to connect to the site URL (tried both http://localhost/mapserver2012 and http://127.0.0.1/mapserver2012), I get "Cannot connect to the specified site URL."

When running the Web Tier Tests at http://localhost/mapserver2012/mapagent/index.html, everything produces "HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found", as seen in the attached image. Some googling around on that error suggested that it was a 32bit/64bit OS issue, but I verified that the "Enable 32-Bit Applications" property was set to True in the advanced settings for the application pool being used by the site in IIS.

I suspect something is amiss in the IIS configuration, but who knows. I'm not an IIS expert myself, but I've got others here in the office who can help me with that. Just checking here to see if anyone else has experienced this. It's basically a show-stopper, as I can't get beyond square one in Infrastructure Studio until this gets solved.

Okay, now when I use the port number 8088 in the URLs (eg. http://localhost:8088/mapserver2012/mapagent/index.html in a browser, and http://localhost:8088/mapserver2012 as the site to connect to in Infrastructure Studio) it is working. I swear I tried URLs with :8088 in them everywhere last week but was getting either an error or no response at all from them. Today, the :8088 URLs are working as expected. I'm not sure what has changed over the weekend. Case closed.

I'm getting the same error "Cannot connect to the specified site URL". However, the solution above doesn't fix mine. I've also tried ports 8008, 80, and 8088.

Does anyone know what's causing this issue?

Here are my system specs:

Windows 7 64bit Professional

IIS (version 7.5.7600.16385)

I am also an Admin on my machine.

As per in the previous post the 32/64 bit issue is that the MapServer2012AppPool / Advanced Setting / General / Enable 32-bit applications  SHOULD BE SET to FALSE, not TRUE as shown in the image.

Here are the screenshots of what AppPools should be within IIS 7.5.

Hi,

I have been experiencing the similar and finally got into the server and pushed the application into IIS. At some point of time I am using query Builder in Taskpane and it refers through Iframes. So when it query the feature with ID it never reacts and held up with attached error

"Blocked a frame with origin “http://localhost:8080” from accessing a frame with "

Please let me know whether you have any suggestions
