IDLE

Hi All

I have installed Map GUIDE server v. 6.5 correctly, however, when i open it, i see it saying above it's an idle status, any solves for this ? No crystal reports at my pc.

A status of idle is good. That is the normal state of MapGuide Server when
it is just sitting there alive and waiting for requests to respond to.

Dear Andy

Thanks, but when I am trying to add layers I receive Error 500, mapagent is configured well, any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated

The mapguide troubleshooting document (TS72613) is a good place to
start. Just go to the Autodesk support site and enter this article
number into the knowledge base search.

What kind of server are you running? If it's Windows 2003, then make
sure that you have added the mapagent (cgi or isapi) to the list of
allowed Web Service Extensions. Also, check your server application
event logs. If MapGuide is throwing errors about COM permisions, you
will need to follow the steps outlined in TS1052627

If you're running on XP (not a supported configuration) check out
TS1051820 .
