Fast way to define 50 Style Rules?

I have a Gelogy polygon layer that needs 50+ colours defined.
This will take a long time using the MapGuide Studio GUI.
Is there a back-door way that I can modify the corresponding config file?
(or import an SLD file that I already have defined for this layer)

A MapGuide Layer Definition is an xml document.

You can find the part of the document that contains your polygon style, and repeat it 50+ times, each time with different colors and theme rules.

Then to load back this xml document, use the mapagent interface. My blog shows how this is done:

Hope that helps,
