Justed to get some clarity on server config and web config sizing. Have a 8 core 8 ram, windows 2008 server running AIMS. THe largest map has ~100 multi-line layers. According to OSGEO, http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/ServerconfigWebConfigIni#ServerRepository
SERVERCONFIG would end up with the following values.
Admin Connection MaxCOnnections = 8 (1 per core)
QueueSize = 16 (set alteast same as max connections)
ThreadPoolSize = 8 (1 per core)
Client Connection MaxCOnnections = 24 (3 per core)
QueueSize = 48 (set alteast same as max connections)
ThreadPoolSize = 24 (3 per core)
Site Connection MaxCOnnections = 16 (2 per core)
QueueSize = 32 (set alteast same as max connections)
ThreadPoolSize = 16 (2 per core)
But for the default AIMS install, for example, Client Max Connection is defaulted to 100, this value is 76 more the recommened by OSGEO. Which one is correct? The system requirements for AIMS is dual core, so if these defaults are set to those, it is way above the guide from OSGEO. I'm facing crashes and wanted to be sure I'm not over or under sizing the server.
